Christmas Tree Recycling for Englewood
ArborScape’s Christmas tree recycling program will be back starting on Monday, January 4th, 2010 and continuing throughout January. The cost is $15 per tree. Contact us to be placed on the recycling wait list.
We started this program last year and it was surprising how long people keep their Christmas trees! We received our last call on February 2nd.
Why Should I Recycle a Christmas Tree?
Recycling a Christmas tree means that the tree is taken to a local recycler and turned into mulch or other useful gardening materials. This saves space in landfills. Also we offer curbside service minimizing your effort.
Never burn your Christmas tree in a fireplace. Evergreens have a high concentration of turpentine oils which is flammable. Other tips about Christmas tree recycling.
How Our Holiday Tree Recycling Program Works
Here’s how it works.
- You give us a call and we’ll put you on the schedule and give you the date of pickup.
- Leave the tree on your curb by 8AM that morning.
- We come by on the appointed day and pickup the tree.
- All the trees are taken to a recycling center to be mulched for organic and other uses.
We only offer curbside service so we know exactly what tree material to take. Please remove any plastic wrapping of the tree.
Why We Started This
This program was a brainchild of David, the company owner, and his wife. They found that many trash removal companies will not take your Christmas tree or have restrictions such as cutting it up to a certain size.
And if they do take it, there’s a good chance it just gets thrown in general garbage. Also, Christmas tree recycling is part of ArborScape’s sustainability initiative.
